sql server - String variable is truncated when inserted into an nvarchar(max) column -


i take xml webservice , it's long (> 1 million characters). put xml in ssis variable.

i want put raw xml variable sql server 2012 table. table column nvarchar(max).

from sql task use simple 

insert (xml) values (@variable)

however when @ column length in sql server, 500k chars there!

why this?
