sql - Error converting datetime from character string - 


insert restaurants_final (datefield) values ('01/01/2000')

this query keeps coming conversion failed when converting datetime character string. method has worked seemlessly me years. doing wrong?

datefield set datetime format.

insert these dates literal in language neutral manner, using format yyyymmdd this:

insert restaurants_final (datefield) values ('20000101')
