redirect - I need to remove /en from all URLs, would like to use .htaccess -


using joomla , trying stop using joomfish, time did use it, other sites linked our pages "basedomain.org/en/everypage". links go 404 errors.

how use .htaccess rewrite or redirect requests basedomain.org/en/everypage basedomain.org/everypage??

options +followsymlinks -multiviews rewriteengine on rewriterule ^en/(.*)$ /$1 [l,r=302]

once you've confirmed works, change 302 301. (301 hard debug because browsers cache it)

or, use redirectmatch (simpler, , no need enable rewriteengine):

redirectmatch permanent /en/(.*) http://www.example.com/$1

(replace www.example.com own domain)
