asp.net - MVC app not writing log files when deployed on IIS 7.5 -


when exception occurs in mvc app, code creates folder named logs (if 1 doesn't exist already) under ~ (app root) folder , under folder, creates file (if 1 doesn't exist already) called myapp.exceptions.log. appends exception information this.

this home-grown logger. works charm when deploy locally.

on remote server, though, no logs generated. not logs folder created.

i have given read/write/modify permissions iis_usr (or whatever called) account whole ~ folder.

please help.

below details deployment environment.

web server: iis 7.5

.net framework: v4

mvc version: 4

windows server: windows server 2008 r2 standard

sorry, realized had grant permissions user asp.net v4.0, name of application pool / identity under application registered / running.

that solved problem.
